Signs of the City website

We have been so busy over the last few weeks that we have not even had time to update our own website, shame on us! So here’s the first post in a while which will be amongst a series of posts to help you bright sparks catch up with everything we have been doing at Brightbulb design Ltd.

Our latest project has just come to fruition launching yesterday. It is the re-design of the Signs of the City website. Signs of the City is part of well known Isle of Wight company A.J Wells & Sons LtdAJ Wells have been official suppliers of signage and cladding to the Rail industry and Transport for London for many years. Made in Britain these authentic Underground, Street and Rail signs are manufactured to exactly the same specification as the signs you see in and around London and at many railway stations. They are produced in vitreous enamel a traditional process that involves fusing glass particles to sheet metal by firing it at temperatures in excess of 800°C.

Over the last few days Signs of the City have exhibited some new products called ‘Spot Tops’ at the London Design Festival through Design Junction. These innovative occasional tables use the famous London underground roundel with traditional nameplate Roundel or an embossed Roundel silhouette in the colours of the London Underground lines. They also sport the classic hairpin style legs.

Signs of the City came to Brightbulb Design with the idea of launching their new product through there current site. However it became apparent that the old site was not responsive and did not showcase their beautiful products as well as could be on mobile platforms. So we set about re-designing their site to be fully responsive, mobile compatible and SEO friendly.  The design was made cleaner and more user friendly with an intuitive interface design that makes navigation much simpler to use on any device. The site can now showcase their latest products and any new products in the best light and increase sales through mobile technology. Take a look for yourselves atwww.signsofthecity.co.uk and why you are their you may like to purchase a stunning designer embossed spot tops, i know we will be.
